Fitting Instructions
Please see below the fiting instructions for the Tyre Johny's, the process is extremely simple and it will be just a matter of time before your Johny's are installed and offering you protection wherever you ride. When air pressure is lost to the tyre the tyre Johny will shape within the tire, giving support to the tire wall and protection to the Rim. 1. Fit the required tire to one side of the wheel rim only and push Rim out as far as possible - Fig 1.
Note: It is also possible to fit the Tyre Johny inside the tire then fit the rim as normal - Fig:1a.
2. Ensure the Tyre Johny in fitted the correct way up - Fig 2.
3. Tyre Johny’s are made long, so you may need to cut to length. To do this, measure the inside diameter of the tire then cut the Tyre Johny to the required length using a long knife - Tyre Johny’s are made from easy cut material. Alternatively fit the Johny inside the tyre and mark where you need to cut. - Fig 3.
Lubricate the Tyre Johny with silicone grease, this will prevent friction and help the Johny to slide in. 4. Once you have decided on the length of the Tyre Johny you can now slide your Johny into the tire.
5. Once you are happy that your tyre Johny is fitting snugly inside the tire you can now push the wheel rim through and fit as normal. 6. Pump up your tire to re-seat the tire bead then set your preferred pressure. 7. If you have trouble inflating the tire, remove valve core and push Johny back away from valve through valve tube using narrow metal pin or screwdriver.
